STAC STUDENT FUND

We are a group of past students from St Thomas the Apostle College.
STAC played a big part in shaping our lives and helped and supported us on our journey from boys to the young men we are today.
We are products of an education that taught us the value of showing care and support to others. With that ethos in mind, and now having started on our career paths – the time is right for us to start giving something back, hence why we have initiated the STAC Student Fund.
We are aware first hand of the difficulties many of those in our local community experience and, with the pandemic having made these societal issues more acute, we know that many students and their families will be struggling. In many cases even providing the basics for an education can be challenging. This fund has been set up with a view to supporting these students by ensuring they have uniforms, shoes, equipment, subsided educational trips, and even small bursaries for university.
We know that St Thomas the Apostle College goes to great lengths to support boys in need and hopefully with the STAC Student Fund we can have an even greater impact. This is something that would have made a huge difference when we were younger and we hope that has a positive impact on the current generation of STAC boys.
The fund will be managed by the school with deserving students identified by their HOY. Termly updates will be posted of how the money is being spent.
To get the ball rolling a small group of us have come together to raise an initial £5,000. Some of this money has already been spent on securing uniform for students in need. The positive impact of this fund is already being felt and additional donations would be greatly appreciated.
